In the late 1970’s Friedrich Berenbruch and Ennio Berti attempt a coffee revolution, they form ECM (Espresso Company Milano) and develop the worlds first commercial quality domestic espresso machine the Giotto.
It quickly becomes the finest domestic machine to grace kitchens of the world.
Milan, Italy 2007. ECM (Espresso Company Milano) decide to concentrate on there commercial espresso machine range. The domestic machine range, the classic Giotto and Cellini machines, get a new lease of life.
Jeff Kennedy, an entrepreneurial pioneer of the espresso revolution in New Zealand takes up the challenge to revive the Giotto brand. Jeff along with Andrew Meo and Daniele Berenbruch, son of Friedrich, recommence production of the classic Giotto machine.

The Premium Plus espresso machine range is the latest machine range from Rocket Espresso, and our flagship model. Features include our proven thermo siphon system, nickel plated boiler with lead free brass end plates for increased thermal retention.
New to the Premium Plus range is the full commercially rated SIRAI pressure stat, which has a far greater degree of accuracy over the life time of the machine. Additionally, the thermo siphon system has been enhanced through the use of increased diameter copper tubes that supply the water to the brewing group. Now includes a water reservoir, low level, indication warning system.
The Rocket Espresso Professional range delivers the total commercial, espresso machine experience.
The addition of a commercially specified rotary pump completes this model range. The rotary pump, together with features from the Premium Plus range, the Nickel plated boiler and SIRAI commercial pressure stat, allows the Barista to produce the finest possible espresso.
The Professional range has both steel braided direct water connection system (hard plumbed) and a full drip tray drainage system. Both the Giotto and Cellini Professional machines do not have water reservoir systems.
